KP school celebrate ‘Raksha Bandhan’

Kathua, Aug 24: The festival of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was celebrated with full enthusiasm by the students, staff and manager of Kartar Public (KP) school in the school premises here today.
While speaking on the occasion Ranjit Kaur of Ranjit Education Trust congratulated the students, staff and the dignitaries present in the function and said that now the time has changed and it’s a matter of great concern and satisfaction that today the students have been provided all the best possible opportunities to have a chance to explore their talent even at the age of childhood. She said that this is the right time to search and hunt the hidden talent of the kids and the Principal and staff of KPS, Barnoti are doing tremendous job to boost and encourage the overall development of the students of the institution. She also congratulated and appreciated the students who took part in Rakhi Making competition and got prizes.
Welcoming the chief guest and the audience, Nirmaljit Singh Amn expressed his happiness and full confidence amongst the students community in general and said that today’s youth has the ability and strength to remain on front foot in all aspects of life. He said that our youth in the strength of the nation, community and society and the KPS, Barnoti is not restricted only to academic and booking knowledge but also equally concerned with sports, curricular and co-curricular activities so that overall growth and development of the students can be maintained.
In the beginning of the today’s event ‘Rakhi Making’ competition the students participated in three different groups i.e instant group of 1st to 4th Class, Junior group from 5th to 7th class and senior group from 8th to 10th class. In this competition Ravinder Kaur of 1st class declared first and Abhishek Gupta of 2nd class stood 2nd. In the junior group Pankaj Sharma of 6th class got first, Neha and Heena, both from 6th class were declared 2nd and 3rd respectively and in the senior group Vidhushi of 10th class stood first, Riya and Vandana, both also from 10th class were adjudged 2nd and 3rd. The students from first, second and third class, who spoke on the spot about the Rakhsha Bandhan festival were also given gifts as the part of encouragement.
Harpreet Kaur, Principal of the school, while delivering her vote of thanks, said that organizing Rakhi Making competition on the festive occasion of Raksha Bandhan, was only to provide a platform to the students so that they can be given an opportunity to built their inner personality and self confidence. She said that such activities also make them to realize the importance of relationship, brotherhood and sportsmanship which can be proved as an asset in their progressive future.
