Hurriyat (G) announces 11-day protest calendar

Srinagar, Aug 24: The Hurriyat Conference (G) as a part of its ongoing ‘Quit Kashmir’ campaign, Tuesday announced its new protest calendar for the next 11-days.
According to a statement issued here, the conglomerate has asked people to observe a complete strike on August 25 (Wednesday). The amalgam has asked people to observe strike and hold demonstrations to show solidarity with prisoners on August 26 (Thursday). There will be no strike on August 27 (Friday).
People have been asked to observe a complete shutdown and march towards TRC grounds in Srinagar on August 28 (Saturday). On August 29, 30, 31 there would be relaxation from 5pm to 7am.
Employees have been asked to pay Rs 100 to Bait-ul-mal on August 30.
No strike will be observed on September 1. According to the amalgam, September 2 will be commemorated as Youm-e-Tahafuz., women have been asked to march towards Aali Masjid in Srinagar on the same day. There will be no strike on September 3. On September 4, a complete strike will be observed.
