Saroori's hoardigs removed from the city | | | Chaman Kaul EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 24: After the government announced to hand over the MBBS/BDS entrance exam impersonation case to CBI, hoardings of works minister GM Saroori were removed from the city areas. His daughter Huma Tabassum, who aspired to become a doctor, is an accused in the case along with six others, including NC leader Rampal's son Lovish Bharat. His hoardings with chief minister Omar Abdullah, erected few months back at Ambphalla and Green-Belt Park, were removed after the government announced CBI probe into the impersonation case. A total of seven people were found impersonating Huma, Lovish and five other candidates in the MBBS/BDS entrance exam of Acharaya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) conducted in an examination hall of Jammu University. An amount of Rs one lakh was allegedly paid by each candidate to agents -- Kunj Bihari and Sheetal -- through their parents. The agents had paid Rs 50,000 to each fake examinee. Shruti Gaur of Mathura had appeared for Huma. A few days ago, registered contractors association alleged that Saroori was alloting works to his own people. |
