23 students left for education tour | Under operation Sadhbhavana | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 25: A contingent of 23 students alongwith two teachers from government school Khari Mohu and surrounding areas mostly hailing from insurgency affected areas were flagged off by the commander of sector headquarter, Chanderkot here today. The tour is which is organised under operation Sadhbhavana will take students to places of historical, cultural and places of religious importance at Jammu, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Chandigarh. The unique excursion organized by the Rashtriya Rifles Battalion based at Khari from 25 August to 3 September 10 is yet another yeoman service by the army to win the heart and minds of the local populace, inspire them to join the main stream and contribute towards the peace process in the area. The tour provides a unique opportunity to these students to reach out beyond the isolation of their own habitat. The Commander sector headquarters interacted with the teachers and children and expressed the hope that the excursion would leave a memorable imprint on their minds and provide them with an ideal opportunity to witness the infrastructure development and the social fabric of secularism in the country. Children and teachers were enthusiastic on the commencement of the excursion and appreciated the role played by the Rashtriya Rifles in motivating the locals in bringing peace and contributing the personality development of children of Ramban district.
