No visitor from here to PoK, 17 returnees leave | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 26: For fifth consecutive week, no resident of Kashmir Valley crossed over to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) in the Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad today. However, 17 residents of PoK, who had arrived here in previous buses, crossed over to other side of Line of Control (LoC) after completing their stay with their relatives here. Since July 15, no resident of this side has crossed over to PoK using weekly bus service. So far, 121 Kashmiris had crossed over to other side since January this year. Bus service was started on April 7, 2005 when Prime Minister Manmohan Singh flagged off the first bus from here to enable the families divided in 1947 to meet each other.
