| Easy wins for Deepakshi, Akanksha in women’s singles | | Jammu District Badminton Championships | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, August 26: Deepakshi and Akanksha today moved into the next round of women’s singles event registering easy wins over their opponents in the ongoing 25th Silver Jubilee Jammu District Badminton Championships at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
While Deepakshi beat Ravinder Kour in easy straight sets of 21-04, 21-02, Akanksha trounced Parul Mahajan 21-07, 21-02.
In men’s singles, Maninder Singh and Vipin Sharma as also Vasu Bhagat too won in one-side contests. Maninder registered a straight sets win over Kanwaljeet 21-6, 21-6 while Vipin defeated Raghav Magotra 21-7, 21-14. Vasu made it a easy straight sets win over Akhil beating latter 21-3, 21-6.
