BJP stands exposed for double standards: Cong | | | Early Times Report MAJALTA, Aug 26: On his maiden visit to his home village/Tehsil, R. S. Pathania after being appointed as Senior Vice-President of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) with independent charge of Jammu province was accorded historic reception by the people over there. Right from Mansar, a cavalcade of as many as 200-odd cars and scooters/motorcycles had bee-lined to receive the son of the soil who had directly been appointed by Rahul Gandhi, General Secretary, AICC. He was also accompanied by M.L.A and General Secretary, Indian Youth Congress (IYC) Vikar Rasool. While addressing local people having assembled over there, Vikar Rasool exhorted upon the youth to act as agents of change and follow foot-steps of Rahul Gandhi and propagate policies and programmes of Congress. Pathania took a potshot at the B.J.P. and said that these organizations stand exposed for their dubious and double-standards. He also demanded separate Municipal Committees for Majalta and Manwal and an Accidental Hospital at Manwal. He also sought greater accountability in the working of Mansar Development Authority (MDA). People of the area also said that they are proud of their man who has brought laurels for Majalta people by securing an esteemed berth for him in the Pradesh Youth Congress. Gathering was addressed by a wide galaxy of local leaders including Kuldip Singh, Suram Chand, Hem Raj Gupta, Raj Kumar Gupta, President Beopar Mandal, Shiv Dutt, Puran Chand, Sonu Dogra, Sanjay Gupta, Pankaj Basotra, Rattan Chand, Mansa Ram, Balbir Singh,Ajay Taloor, Rattan Singh, Dr. Pardeep Kesar, Girdhari Lal, Nitin Sharma, Mohd. Din, Ranjit Singh, Attar Singh, Raghubir Singh, Kirpal Singh, Suram Chand and Charan Dass.
