CM should resign immediately: BJP | | | Early Times Report SAMBA, Aug 26: As part of its state wide public awareness campaign over present situation in Kashmir, Samba District BJP today organized workers conference which was attended by over 800 prominent activists of party from different parts of district. BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas in his address, held the present NC-Congress coalition totally responsible for the current turmoil in the valley. He said that situation has reached to such a state that there seems to be nonexistence of the government. He said that government has failed to perform its constitutional duty. He maintained that Chief Minister has no moral right to stay in power any more. Sooner the CM resigns, better it would be for the state, said Manhas and urged the party activists to reach the masses with a motive to present the real picture of the current turmoil in the valley as also the forces behind it. BJP Legislator party leader Chaman Lal Gupta while recalling splendid contribution of the Praja Parishad, Jansangh and present BJP in working towards strengthening nationalist forces in the state said that we have sacrificed our great leaders like Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee while fighting for full integration of the state. He said that mistakes committed by Congress have complicated so-called Kashmir problem. Former State President and Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria in his address said that 11 MLAs of the party have been working as watchdog of the interests of the people of Jammu as well as nation in the state. He said that after being elected as legislators, we have been raising the public related issues inside the assembly as well as outside. He said that it is indeed unfortunate that while the elected representatives of the NC, PDP, Congress and others parties get united for any matter related to Kashmir, the Congress representatives from Jammu, who are ministers in the coalition, have no concern for the people of Jammu and their cause as their agenda is to remain in power. Suresh Jamwal, Chander Parkash Ganga, Sat Sharma (C.A.), Jugal Kishore Sharma, Durga Dass, Keshav Dutt, Kashmir Singh, Santosh Bhagat, Omkar Padha, Subash Bhagat, Amar Singh, Pt. Girdhari Lal and Jahangir also address the conference.
