| Residents of Kathua lash MC apathy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kathua, Aug 27: It has become the reality of the day in Kathua that no administration of the municipal council Kathua is practical in forms but is functional only for name and to complete the formalities to fill the vacant chairs of the said administration it was claimed by the resented people of the Kathua.
The Nature mankind friendly Global Movement activist Sanjeev Verma, and a social worker Vishal Salgotra said that plundering of the money from the pockets of the innocent people in market by the several sweet shops, ready and garments shops and etc. on the name of fixed price by confusing the customers is on peak. They said that the district administration only up to the holdings of its officially meetings but not to act for the welfare of the people and it is very shocking for us when the sweets shop owners are selling their low quality and weight product at very high rates which was more than its actual rates. Customers Neena Kumari, Sandhya Devi and Suman Kumari, said that all the reality came to light when we purchased 1kg pack of dry fruit from a shopkeeper at Mukharji Chowk Kathua at the rate of Rs. 250 and when we opened the 1kg pack we found that inadequate little quantity of the two product almonds and Saunghi which shocked us for such big loot on the name of bossiness by the sweet shopkeeper.
Other side Meena Devi, Raghu, Surinder Singh and Sham Lal said that most of the readymade and sweetshop owner in the main bazaar of the Kathua are openly looting the big amount against their low standard and low quality product and innocent people have to become the victim. They said that the administration never seemed to take strong and result oriented steps to counter the plundering of the money on the name of genuine rates and provide the market security to the consumers and on the same pattern the sweet shops owner at Mukharji chowk were plundering the money against the genuine and right rates of the product. The municipal administration only to conduct the formal and time waste inspection but practically they could not passed to impose any strict check over the unwanted and over high rates of the product. But the people are still suffering and the administration is sleeping with depth. And it is urge upon the administration if it feels its mere practical existence any where then should come out from the deep sleep to make strong and strict check over the loot of the money in general in whole Kathua but particular hub of the loot in main bazaar kathua from the pocket of the innocent customers and to provide the at least minimum loot terror-less atmosphere to the common man of the kathua.
