| Mazdoor Sang convenes party meet | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Aug 27: Bharitya Mazdoor Sang, Jammu and Kashmir working committee under the chairmanship of state president Vijay Chandel today expressed grave concern over the negligent attitude of labour department towards the over exploitation of the contractual labourers at the hands of unlawful contractors and industrialists in the state and the workers are not being paid wages as per minimum wages act notification.
The workers are also being covered under ESI act and EPF provisions being social legislation.
The workers are also being exploited at Gangyal and Bari Brahamana industrial Complex, at Samba and Kathua, even public sectors management are also exploiting the workers for which government of India demanded that all PDL employees of PHE and electricity departments be made regular.
The committee also took serious view not depositing EPF of employees of JKSRTC and Super Bazaar management with Provident Fund. The committee also demanded to cover under ESI scheme to the workers of industries at national highways in Samba district. Committee urged to SSP traffic and RTO to improve the roads for public.
Others attended meeting included Lakshman Ravinder Singh, NK Gupta, Harbans Choudhary, Chanan Singh, parkash, Rakesh Kumar, Som Dutt, Onkar Sharma and others.
