Saroori was a tip, 'big fishes' still existing in J and K Govt: Harsh | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 27: Asserting that Roads and Buildings Minister G M Saroori, who was sacked by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah yesterday, was not the only 'culprit', Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) senior leader and MLA Harsh Dev Singh alleged that still number of 'tainted' people including the big fishes are existing in the coalition government. “Saroori's case was only a tip, but there are numerous skeleton rubbing under and the government should probe their cases too,'' Harsh told reporters at a press conference here this afternoon. He said the Chief Minister should order probe into the admissions of high profile politicians and bureaucrats, who have managed seats for their kin in various professional colleges. ''The last 10-year record should be scrutinised by the government and the cases must be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI),'' demanded the JKNPP leader. He further, said the kin of the top politicians and the bureaucrats, who have done professional courses, especially in the streams of MBBS and engineering, should be probed by the government. ''The sacking of the 'tainted' Minister will not be enough but the Chief Minister should find out the ground realities and take action against all those involved in the menace, especially the 'big fish','' Harsh said. Trouble started for Saroori on August 21 when seven impersonators were arrested during a medical entrance examination of a private college at University of Jammu as one of them was allegedly appearing on behalf of Minister's daughter Huma Tabassum. The Panthers leader also criticised the state government for delaying the Assembly session, adding, '' Governor N N Vohra must intervene and announce the schedule for the session as the members of the legislature are required to give written intimation of the AQs, bills and resolutions in advance.
