| Omar is a confused, unable to differentiate problems: BJP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu,Aug 27: The state BJP on Friday said, "Omar Abdullah is a confused Chief Minister and he can not differentiate between a political and law and order problem".
Addressing a meeting of senior party leaders and other workers here at party headquarters, the state BJP Chief Shamsher Singh Manhas dubbed Omar as a confused Chief Minister.
Leader of Legislators Party Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta and former State President & MLA Ashok Khajuria also attended the party.
Manhas said Omar is not aware of the real problem and cannot find its solution. He should immediately step-down.
There is no government in office in the state, Manhas said accusing the Congress party of occupying the office with the sole motive of enjoying perks of power.
Commenting on the issue of Autonomy, Manhas said that the people of the state cannot be misled any more by emotional speeches or slogans.
"The state of Jammu & Kashmir became part of India under the same Instrument of Accession as was signed by other princely states. He said like other states, J&K is an integral part of the country and there cannot be any discussion or rethinking about the demands like Autonomy, self-rule etc. raised by regional parties, separatists and anti-national elements".
The BJP chief announced that all the 11 MLAs of the party have decided to donate Rs. 5 lakh each from their Constituency Development Funds to provide financial assistance to the victims of Leh tragedy and appealed the government to transfer the amount to the concerned agency engaged in relief and rehabilitation operations.
Chaman Lal Gupta, on this occasion said that the present situation demands implementation of Mookherjee Model as Nehruvian Model has miserably failed in the state.
He said the BJP’s view point carry importance as it has never compromised on the issues related to the national interests in the state, which is the out come of the numerous sacrifices and a clear vision and policy viz-a-viz Jammu & Kashmir.
He said the role of BJP cadres in the state has become more important in the present scenario as the security forces are being demoralized, idea to grant concessions to separatist and anti-national elements are on move and the patriotic citizens are feeling helpless and insecure.
Ashok Khajuria, in his address, said that the conferences held at district levels have been successful and a clear message has been conveyed to the masses that the present NC-Congress dispensation is the mother of all the miseries and that its continuation for even a minute will prove to be dangerous for the nation.
He said that it is the BJP only which has all along stood like a rock whenever the Congress, NC or PDP has adopted a soft and friendly approach towards such forces which have been working to weaken the India’s sovereignty over Jammu and Kashmir
