| SSJAC applauds police action on youth cong rally | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 27: Student scholar Joint Action Committee (SSJAC) of Jammu University today applauded Jammu police for use of force on the youth congress rally, for which according to them the party had not sought requisite permission.
In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that a meeting of representative of various university departments, students and scholars was held in which several issues pertaining to students were discussed. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of student leader Mohinder Pal Singh Pandu.
Pandu said that use of force on the youth congress rally was quite appropriate since it was being held without seeking proper permission from the police and district administration. Another Youth leader, Lovejeet Singh Jimmy said that it was after the youth congress leaders misbehaved with police officers, situation became tense.
Ram Ji Sharma said that police took appropriate steps as per the requirement. He said that SSP, SP, DYSP are quite efficient and SSJAC would always support the officers of Jammu police. It added that SSJAC has always been at the back and call of Jammu Police. Others who were present in the meeting included Nishant Verma, Parduman Singh, Mannu Sharma, Satwant Singh, Satveer Singh Jamwal, Fiaz Ahmed, Sunil, Honey Gupta Abhijyot Singh, Sonu Gupta and Pardeep.
