| Case registered against RET teachers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 27: In a rare incident of its kind, a government teacher was brutally thrashed by another teacher of same school over a petty issue in Government Primary School Baghal Pal in Chinka area of district Reasi today.
Injured teacher Gourav Puri is engaged as RET. He alleged that his senior Arif thrashed him brutally for marking his (Arif) absence in the attendance register. Matter was taken seriously by police and the culprit was booked under law.
But, the local education authorities including Chief Education Officer (CEO) and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) were totally ignorant of the matter. SHO Reasi Varinder Gupta said that the injured has been sent to the hospital for medical examination and a case under section 307 has been registered.
