| RDX, ammunition recovered from militant hideout | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 27: The deadly RDX, and arms and ammunition were recovered by security forces from a militant hideout in Nar Mankote forests of Mendhar in Poonch today.
Police sources said after developing information about a militant hideout in the Nar Mankote forests, police and 37 RR jawans launched an operation in the morning.
During searches, the jawans came across a militant hideout carved out in a natural cave, the sources added.Its search led them to the recovery of 2 kilograms of RDX, four AK
rifles along with four magazines and 120 rounds, four Chinese grenades, one wireless set, 25 gelatine sticks, four rucksacks, one umbrella and some other items of daily use.
The hideout was later destroyed by the jawans. |
