| Govt college ‘Ramban’ celebrates foundation day | | | Early Times Report
Ramban, Aug 28: The students and staff of government degree college, ‘Ramban’ celebrated the foundation day of the college with great enthusiasm. Speaking on the occasion, the principal of the college. Prof Kalpana Kesar said at the time of starting of college in 2005, the total strength of the student was 35 and only four subjects were taught , but now with the span of five years the total number goes to 600 and subjects rose to 15 till date. She also expressed thanks to education minister Abdual Gani Malik and director college education in sanctioning science subjects for the college. She also laid emphasis on collective responsibility to make the college hub of curricular and co-curricular activities. Earlier Prof Pinky Manhas of environment sciences highlighted various activities conducted under the principal Kesar. On this occasion Punjabi song, songs Urdu and Hindi poetry and other national songs with skits were presented by the students. While concluding the function Prof Taseer Thanked all the guest, staff and students for attending the prgoramme with zest and zeal. Others who were present on the occasion include Prof Shahnawag, Prof Menu Sadhotra, Prof Adil, Amrita and Sangita.
