200 fruit, medicinal plants planted

Kathua, August 28: Pantation drive launched by a non governmental organization SPEAK India environmental foundation, planted nearly 200 plants including fruit plants, mangoes, and guava and medicinal plants neam, teak and etc. plants in women Government Degree College kathua with the collaboration of the students of the college here today expressing the importance of the plantation the director of the NGO Sh. Suresh Kumar and Arjun Singh, Naresh Kumar, Varinder Kour and Rajan Dhiman said that the plants are the base of human as well as entire biolife on the planet and it seems there is constant relation of human being with plants since the evolution of the human being, but now-a-days it is seen that due to the lack of consciousness about the needs and importance of the relation of the plants with human being and how are these use full for the existence of life on earth. On the occasion the principal police training school SP Ashok Sharma expressed deep concerns over the declining the environment tree cuttings, deforestation and declining of greens for establishment of unwanted and pollution causing industries and leaving the entire atmosphere in poisonous state and posing a major threat for the extinction of biolife. He appreciated the initiative of the SPEAK taking this problem serious and came forward to counter it by planting the plants in Women College. On the occasion the chairman of the organization Sh. Sunil Sharma briefed upon the motive and actions of the organization which are based upon to grow more and more trees to curb the growing menace of the hazardous of the environment and to make pollution free surroundings of the human being as per the part of our motive Principal of the college Prof. A.K Malohtra, SICOP development manager Atul Sharma as special guest along with other college staff member were present.
