JAMMU, Aug 28: Shri Amarnath Yatra Sangarsh Samiti (SAYSS) has warned both the state and centre of dire consequences if it would fail to ensure safety and security of minorities in Kashmir valley.
Addressing a press conference here today, SAYSS leaders expressed concern over deteriorating situation in Kashmir valley. They added that ongoing secessionist campaign has affected the common masses in valley and the minorities living there feel isolated. Leaders of SAYSS claimed that functioning of the government and its presence on ground is not visible.

They said that the minority Kashmir Pandit community has already been extirpated by pan-Islamic terrorism in 1990 and now the left over KP’s and Sikh community is becoming target of the wrath of fundamentals force. Leaders also said that stone pelting terrorism has made the normal life in valley miserable.
Sangarsh Samiti has appealed government both in state and at center to ensure the safety and security of the minorities in trouble torn valley. Leaders of Samiti made it clear that any concession which dilutes writ of India in Jammu and Kashmir will be fought strongly and nationalist people are ready to give supreme sacrifice for the total integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India.
Leaders also expressed their serious concern over non-implementation of the agreement signed by the leaders of Sangarsh Samiti and the government headed by the honorable governor in August 2008. Leaders emphasized that repeated reminders to the concerned authorities in the government have not yielded any results and the unrest among the people in general is brewing up and many reach an explosive situation any time, if the government fails to implement the agreement in toto.
