'High command to decide on filling up Saroori's Vacancy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 28: In what can be seen as distancing himself from any political controversy within the factionalism ridden party, J&K PCC Chief Prof Saif-u-Din Soz today said he had no role, whatsoever, nor was he inclined to make any comment in the decision to sack R&B Minister GM Saroori. "It was a decision taken by the Party high command and it the High Command which will decide about future course of action in the mater", Soz said while talking to reporters today. He said the vacancy created in the council of ministers in Jammu and Kashmir in the wake of dismissal of GM Saroori would be filled up by the party soon. "The vacancy created in the council of ministers in Jammu and Kashmir would be filled up by the Congress soon," state Congress chief indicated. The state Minister for Roads and Buildings was sacked on August 26 after he refused to heed a Congress high command directive to resign in the wake of a row over alleged use of an impersonator by his daughter during a medical entrance test. He is a Congress MLA from Inderwal Assembly segment of Kishtwar district. |
