Demand CBI inquiry into 'murder' of ex sarpanch

Kishtwar, Aug 29: Fissures in Congress widened further inChenab region as hundreds of ex R&B Minister GM Saroori blocked National Highway in Kishtwar raising voice gainst his dismissal.On the other hand demands were echoed for transferring of murder case of
Ghulam Mohammad Malik, who happened to be the childhood friend of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.
The supporters blocked the National Highway connecting Kishtwar with Jammu for more then three hours at Drabshala some 18 Kilometers from here. The protestors led by District Youth President Congress Mohammad Iqbal Keen took to the roads and
raised slogans in favor of Ghulam Mohammad Saroori and termed his sacking from the minister of council as a conspiracy hatched against him by the vested interested
persons who are working against the party interest. Leveling serious allegations of corruption against Mohammad Sharif Naz , the protestors demanded inquiry against him during his tenure of power minister in Mufti Mohammad Syed led coalition government.
They also demanded for handing over of Murder case of Ex Sarpach Ghulam Mohammad Malik childhood friend of Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to CBI so that the justice could be delivered to the affected families. They alleged
that even after lapse of almost 8 years, the guilty hasn’t been punished yet and urged upon the CM Omar Abdullah to handover the case to CBI. The protestor said
that if the case of impersonating is being be handed over to CBI, then why not the murder case of Ex Sarpanch involving some politicians in it.
It is worth while to mention that Ex Sarpanch Ghulam Mohammad Malik was murdered in Balessa Tehsil of Doda District in the year 2002. The family members of
the deceased have raised fingures towards some politicians for his murder and from time to time demanded thorough probe into the killing of Ghulam Mohammad Malik.
