| Tempo driver held for hitting cop | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Aug 29: A tempo driver was booked in an attempt to murder case here today for deliberately hitting a traffic police cop after the latter asked him to stop.
Police sources said an overloaded tempo traveller was signalled by traffic police cop Mohammad Rafiq to stop for checking.The tempo driver Abdul Rashid of Surankote, however, hit the cop and fled the spot, the sources added.
While the cop was hospitalised, the driver was later arrested and booked under section 307 of RPC.
