| Dogri poet Prakash Premi felicitated | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 29: The contribution of Prakash Premi as a Dogri writer, poet and scholar were applauded today in a function Meet the Writer held at K L Siaghal Hall.
The meet was organized by Writers, Forum, Jammu.
Dr Adarsh, renowned Hindi writer, scholar presided while S.S. Anand Lehar, senior advocate, Supreme Court of India and prominent Urdu short story writer was the chief guest. Pritpal Singh Betab, nationally reputed Urdu poet and president, Forum was also present in the presidium.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Adarsh applauded the contribution of Prakash Premi as a Dogri writer, poet and scholar. While declaring him the satirist of the national standard, he said that Prakash Premi contributed a lot through his writings for the development of the literature and language especially Dogri Literature of the region.
During the interaction Prof Lalit Mangotra, Sh Mohan Singh, Khalid Hussain, Prof Satpal Srivats, Darshan Darshi and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn participated.
Earlier while sharing his experiences with the audience, Sh Prakash Premi recited some of his selective poems, satires and some of the couplets of his translation work from Sanskrit to Dogri were highly applauded and appreciated by the audience.
Arvinder Singh Amn conducted the proceedings and also presented vote of thanks.
Among others were present include Prof Shashi Pathania, Sham Talib, K.K. Shakir, Dr Javied Rahi, Gurdeep Kaur, S Amar Singh Kuka, Pawan Khajuria, Sudhir Majajan and others.
