Tanda tigers deplore visa denial to army officer | | | Early Times Report AKHNOOR, Aug 30: Denial of visa to a decorated army officer on flimsy grounds is unfortunate and should be condemned with all might, said founder of Tanda Tiger Force of Kargil porters K. P. Singh. In a meeting of Tanda Tigers hurriedly convened at Akhnoor, its founder who is an awardee of Army Commander’s Commendation Card dwelt upon the cause of denial of visa to a distinguished Army Commander in connection with his good will visit to China. He said that supporting Pakistan’s claim over Kashmir is the main aim of China for the time being while adding that China’s plan of grabbing Jammu and Kashmir by declaring it a disputed area before hand cannot be ruled out, he said. Singh added that army general’s visit would have benefited the Chinese army who would have learnt the mechanism of using military forces in civil unrest. He further said that welfare of his officers, men and civilians has been his concern. Singh added that nearly 3000 erstwhile porters already familiar of high altitude working would be ready to help Army in upgrading security and infrastructure against the Chinese. He also appealed to state government to raise Dogra and Gujjar Scouts like the Ladakh Scouts to guard our frontiers against joint evil designs of China and Pakistan before it is too late. Singh appealed Ministers and MLAs from Jammu region to take up the case of raising Dogra and Gujjar Scouts with Dr. C Rangarajan Committee appointed by Prime Minister for providing jobs to youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
