KMU: Induct MLC Gupta in council of ministers

JAMMU, Aug 30: President Kisan-Mazdor Union (KMU) District Doda, Yog Raj Sharma has appealed to Prime Minister Dr. Manmoham Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi to induct Minister in the cabinet from minority community of district Dada. He said for the last so many years, no public representative (MLA/MLC) from the minority community has been inducted into any ministry in the erstwhile district Doda. The minority community is feeling deprived of their genuine right. So, Prime Minister & UPA Chairperson, is strongly urged to consider the matter seriously and sympathetically and induct MLC Naresh Gupta at least as a minister of state into the ministry being Sober, highly qualified law graduate, experienced and energetic and will come up to the expectations of the minority community. The public of minority community of District Doda who’s population is more than 45% thank the UPA government that after independence a MLC, is nominated from minority community from District Doda.
Sharma also drew attention of Chief Minister and Rural Development Minister to wards a nefarious proactive going on in Tehsil Thathri. The hundred days guarantee scheme is being grossly mis-utilized. No doubt job card have been issued to some people but they have not been provided any job. It has been reliably learnt that they are provided job for 4/5 days but are shown on the record to have done work for a month and the payment of remaining 25/26 days gets distributed among the officials. As such very little work has been actually done.
The Eye camp was inaugurated by Brig V.S Srivas. VSM Commander of Poonch Brigade. Professor Jagbir Singh of Brilam Spiritual Foundation, Dr Md Yonis, the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital were among the dignitaries present at the occasion. Free medical aid, food and accommodation were arranged by 425 Field Hospital for the patents. The camp received an overwhelming response formt eh laocal populace and they requested that such eye camps should be more frequently in the region,.
