Dharmath Trust to take out Shoba Yatra from Residency Road | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 30: Due to the road development works presently undergoing in various parts of the old city, Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust along with various other social and religious organizations have unanimously decided to take out Shri Raghunathji Rath Yatra followed by Jhankies from Residency road, Rajinder Bazaar, Kanak Mandi, City Chowk and Raghunath Bazaar to Shri Raghunath Ji Mandir. Informing this at a press conference jointly addressed by the Heads of Organizations comprising Sangrakshak Vishwa Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, Dharni Dhar, President Dharmik Yuvak Mandal, Sanjay Anand, President Raghunath Bazaar Businessmen Associations, Surinder Mahajan, President Shiv Sena Hindustan Dimpy Kohli, President J&K Dharmarth Trust Thakur Divakar Singh. They said that since the road construction work was not fully completed and a joint team of these organizers have visited the area and found that the traditional route particularly falling in the old city area was not fit for taking out the Rath Yatra, the team unanimously decided to take out the Yatra this year to facilitate government in the execution of the road works. He said the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu has been apprised of the condition of the road and the decision of the Committee. President of the Trust appealed to the public to join the Rath Yatra in large number.
