JAMMU SEPT 3: In the holy town of Katra, Janamashtami festival was celebrated with great pomp and show by the locals of Katra.
The Shoba Yatra was inaugurated by lightening the lamps by the Ex. MLA Jougal Kishore Sharma on Thursday night. Large numbers of devotees take part in the rally. Devotional songs and kirtan was performed by the devotees of Lord Krishna. The holy Rath Yatra started from Bus Stand, Main Bazar, and after passing through Chandi Maa Mandir Ban Ganga culminated at Shiv temple Ban Ganga.
