SP concerned over deteriorating Kashmir situation | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Sept 3: Samajwadi Party (SP) has expressed serious concern over the turmoil which has devastated both the economic and social atmosphere of Kashmir Valley. In a handout issued here today, it has been stated that a meeting was held at the party headquarters in which the situation in Kashmir valley was thoroughly discussed. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Party President Sheikh Abdul Rehman. During the meeting, Rehman expressed deep shock over the spate of killings in Kashmir valley. Party President urged the state government to rein in such persons who cause deaths of innocent people by restoring to unlawful firing. He maintained that they should be held accountable for addressing the anger which has been growing with each passing day. He also demanded constitution of a Commission to look into the excesses, deaths and loss to public properties worth several hundred crores during last 2 months.
