Niaz vehemently denies defending Saroori | | | Early Times Report NEW DELHI, Sept 3: Former Minister and MLA Bhaderwah Mohammed Sharief Niaz has strongly refuted the news item published in a section of press attributed to him during a public meeting at Chatroo in Kishtwar. In a statement issued from New Delhi here today, Niaz said that for past quite some time, he is based in New Delhi and there is no question of him defending the tainted former Road and Buildings Minister Ghulam Mohammed Saroori. He said that Congress high command decision to sack Saroori has demonstrated the high moral principles Congress party upholds and there is no reason to question the wisdom of party high command. Niaz said that he is a loyal worker of Congress party and has always upheld the decision of the party high command has worked as a soldier of the party for past more than 40 years in most difficult circumstances. He said that Saroori has been defying the party high commands decision openly and the decision to sack him was in the right earnest a positive step. Niaz said that the statement attributed to him condemning the sacking of Saroori is an attempt by the vested interests to defend a corrupt and disloyal GM Saroori and to malign his image before the party high command. He asked the public to be aware of such mischievous elements and nip the evil in the bud.
