Adbikunj organises literary meet on ‘Art of translation’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 3: A literary meet on the ‘art of the translation,’ was organized by the Adbikunj at its literary centre here today. The meet was presided over by Sham Talib, while Ved Upal Ved a well known singer and poet conducted the proceeding of the meet with professional alumina. Sham Talib, threw detailed light on the various colours and shades of the Art of Translation. He said that during its regular weekly literary activities. Adbi Kunj Jammu used to hold such a different, special creative literary meet and the current topic meet is the part of these series, in which an atmosphere created to show our respect of the languages. In the Prose session Sham Talib presented a Dogri translated Urdu short story-Viraniyan of Dr. Nighat Farooq with titled - NASO an Urdu translation of a Hindi short story - Dilli-Dil-Walon-Ki, with new titled Aaj-Ka Sudhama was presented by K.L. Dewana. A Punjabi translated Hindi short story Bindya - was read out by Ved Upal Ved on the other side Muni Lal Puri also read out an Urdu political satire - Bhookh-Jo-Mitti-Nahin. A positive and healthy appreciation, as well as criticism was made in said session. In the multilingual poetic session the poets also recited their translated poetic Kalam, with their other Kalam, include a Dogri translated of an Urdu poem - Tuo-Ne-Yeh-Kiyon-Kiya of noted Urdu poet SPS Betab a Dogri translation of a Hindi poem - Kali-Rat-Ke-Kale-Saye, was readout by Rajiv Kumar, the other poets of this session were included, Com. Jaswant Singh, Muni Lal Puri, Dr. Bharat Bhushan Gupta, K.L. Dewana, Karan Gupta, Sanjeev Kumar, Ravi Rohmetra, Chander Ved Parkash, Ram Lal Gulab, Ved Upal Ved, Dr. Baldev Raj, Rajiv Kumar and Talib.
