| Youth axed to death over land dispute, two serious | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU,Sept 3: Over a land dispute, a youth was today axed to death by his neighbour in the far-flung Sounchal village of Kalakote in Rajouri while two others, including the deceased's elder brother, sustained serious stab wounds.
Police sources identified the dead as Mohammad Akram (25), son of Mohammad Khalil and the injured as his brother Javed Iqbal and neighbour Mohammad Shabir, son of Abdul Karim.
Sources said Akram and his brother Javed were in their field at Sounchal when they had a verbal duel with Shabir over a piece of land.
The two parties later attacked each other with axes. Sources said while Akram was killed on the spot, Javed and Shabir sustained serious injuries.
They were admitted to hospital where their condition was stated to be critical.
A case in this connection stands registered at Kalakote police station. |
