NC leaders hoodwinking people, raking up non-issues: PDP
9/4/2010 9:08:47 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sep 4: Expressing concern over mounting problems of the common masses due to the wrong policies being propagated by the present dispensation, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that the National Conference (NC) led coalition regime has lost its credibility and leaders of the ruling party have been trying to divert attention of the people by raking up irrelevant issues.
Addressing a meeting of the party workers here this afternoon, PDP leaders observed that to hide their failure, NC leaders have been shifting blames on other parties for the prevailing mess in the state. “Government has been totally paralyzed and developmental and other activities have come to the stand still”, they observed and pointed out that on the one hand killings of innocent people have been going unabated while on the other hand day-to-day problems of the common masses have been increasing.
They further said that during the last 18 months, this regime has done nothing to solve basic problems of the common masses and added that instead of fulfilling the commitment, the government has been trying to hoodwink the people by raking up non issues.
While pointing towards the shortage of ration, acute scarcity of water and power crises in Jammu region, PDP leaders said that the whole state has been plunged into the unprecedented crises due to wrong policies being pursued by the NC led coalition.
“People of state have lost faith on NC led regime as this government has done nothing on ground”, they pointed out and added that achievements of the government is confined only on papers as this regime is more particular about issuing press statements and conducting photo sessions to hoodwink the gullible people.
PDP leaders reminded the workers that the Government headed by Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had carved out a path of equitable development and peace but the present dispensation has miserably failed to carry forward that agenda of peace and development.
“People has started comparing three years regime of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed with decade long mis-governance of National Conference”, they said and regretted that National Conference led regime has shattered peoples faith in the democratic institutions.
Former Minister Sardar Rangil Singh, vice-president Sardar Trilok Singh Bajwa, general secretary Thakur Balbir Singh and Daman Bhasin addressed the party workers.
