| 16-yr-old molested by cop in Udhampur | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 4: A police Havaldar allegedly molested a 16-year-old girl at Bilan Baan in Udhampur Friday evening.Police sources said an 11th class student, who was returning home after taking a tuition class, was stopped and allegedly molested by a police Havaldar when she was passing through a dark lane at Bilan Baan last evening.
The accused was identified as Havaldar Sham Lal, who at present was posted at Udhampur police station.
Sources said after the girl reached home, she narrated the incident to her parents, who then lodged a complaint against the accused at Udhampur police station. Sources said though the havaldar was booked under FIR No 212/2010 and section 354 of RPC, he had not been not suspended as yet. |
