| Workshop in waterborne diseases | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 11: A workshop on waterborne disease caused by impure water especially in the far flung areas of the state was organized by the ‘Global helping hand’ an NGO here today. Speaking on the chairman NGO Jatinder Bhat appealed the people by very conscious whenever any symptom of disease is found, immediately report to the nearest health centre, beside use boiled water during this season. Bhat also urged the Govt to take necessary steps to eradicate the water body disease, and direct the concerned authorities to use chemicals and other steps so that the water can be purified before reaching to common masses. Bhat also applied the Govt to take necessary steps for the betterment of physically challenged people. He said special identity cards of packed dairy size should be issued to these people who should carry information about the various schemes of state and central govt this will help a lot the disable persons to overcome the problem faced by them, as they do not know this scheme launched by the state and central Govt. others present on the occasion were Sanjay Bhat, Arun Sharma, Indu Bhat, Rohini, Arvind, Rajander, Kulbir Singh and Sunil Dhar.
