9/11/2010 10:51:42 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 11: the newly appointed Kashmiri Pandit youth under special migrant drive hold massive protest rally organized by youth All India (YAI) Kashmiri Samaj here today. YAIKS chief R.K Bhat who led the protest drive said, “We have been waiting for long for the issuance of orders in favour of the selected candidates in various departments for employment under the Prime Minister Special Employment Package for the Kashmiri Pandits but the govt. has maintained a criminal silence with regard to this while it focuses its attention on the stone pelters all those who had gone across the borders for getting armed training.” He said, it was after two long decades, PM’s special Employment Package for Kashirir migrants was given a go after more than twenty eight months from the date of its announcement. The interviews for selection was conducted, the list of listed candidates notified and the final orders of appointment were to be issued beginning July, 2010. But under the pretext of disturbance in the valley those have been put on hold making us scapegoats to the situation prevailing there. Now enough is enough, if the valley does not became calm that does not mean that KP migrant appoints should be made to pay for that as if all were well with the community all these two decades of their exile from homes and heath. Therefore, Govt should utilize our services and remaining parties of the state till normalcy will be restored in the valley. We also demand remaining 3000 jobs under PM’s package to be provided to us with seven years ago relaxation and one time compensation of Rs.25 lacs for averaged youth as they have been ignored from the govt services since last two decades besides the present appointment orders. The gathering was also addressed by B.K Bhat, Manoj Handoo, Ajay Safaya, Sunil Kaul, Deepak Dhar, Sanjay Ganjoo, Ravinder Dhar, Sanjay Shashoo, D.N Bhat, Sunil Hangloo, Naresh and Rakesh.
