| Doda to have more Water Filtration Plants: PHE Minister | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Sep 11: Two new water filtration plants shall be put in place at Nagri and Ghat for improving drinking water supply in Doda constituency. It was conveyed by PHE Minister Taj Mohi-Ud-Din to MLA Doda Abdul Majid Wani. A special focus shall be given by the PHE authorities for providing safe drinking water to people with regular water surveillance and water purification on cost effective methods. There shall be significant improvement in the working of PHE department in Doda district with proper chlorination of water reservoirs, proper maintenance of Water Filter plants, plugging of leakages in water supply pipes etc.
The district PHE staff, right from top to bottom, shall be made more accountable and the lower technical staff including linemen & daily wagers/HR shall be provided proper training. Fully equipped “Water Testing Labs” shall be set up very shortly.
