Proxy war eating into the vitals of the state: Kapoor | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sep 11: The state chairman J&K Human Rights Watch B.L. Kapoor has said that proxy war is slow poisoning for the humanity. Proxy war is more dangerous than other types of wars, he said while referring the situation prevalent in the satat. He said that the state of J&K has been facing proxy war for the last 20 years and above with unity, secularism and patience resulted the goals of the nefarious designs of the elements could not fulfilled, though there were heavy loss to people of J&K and bad impact on the progress in the field of development etc. Besides this, a heavy loss to the villagers people of hilly areas with regards to bread earning resources like jaddi booties, anardana, banafsha and guchies, etc valuing crores of rupees could not be collected by the villagers and lost their resources of living hood due to fear of terrorists in the forests of Rajouri and Poonch particular and others in general. The worst situation in valley now a day is also a part of proxy war had been started in J&K with the joint efforts of some individuals of inside their state for revenge, anti- nationalism, political conflicts and vested interests only otherwise question does not arise of prolonged continuation of said war so called militancy in the state. And prevailing situation created in valley is a part of proxy war also to bring the government under pressure and disturb peace and progress. Kapoor further said that in such circumstances the necessary steps which deemed fit shall be taken by the union government so that proxy war is stopped at once to safe guard the masses and the common man may not suffer in J&K especially in valley. He said India is a peace loving and bearing high image in the world and that is why India has been offering friendship and trying for maintaining loving relations with Pakistan since long but is unfortunate that Indian efforts bear unfruitful results all the times. The time has come when the situation is beyond the tolerance. As the nation has been facing heavy losses due to going on proxy war in which innocent people are killed and army jawans are precious and it is not only violation of human rights but heavy loss to nations wealth. “Under such circumstances, withdrawal of AFSPA would be a haphazard action and in case more such incidents occur after the withdrawal of AFSPA, who will be responsible,” he said. Union government should fixed responsibility before accepting recommendation. Kapoor further said that the people of valley are part and parcel of the nation and they may be got rid of the difficulties so that they may have a sigh of relief as most of them have bread earning resources due to worst circumstances with strikes, hartals, processions, imposing of curfews months together. Kapoor appealed the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to intervene personally into the situation and necessary steps may be taken so that normalcy is restored in the state of J&K. |
