Vivekananda College of Education collects funds for Leh victims

Kathua, Sep 11: The Chairman of the Vivekananda College of Education Kathua Sudarshan Gupta convened a press conference and said that the college has collected Rs 84,731/ as relief fund for the victims of cloud burst in Leh.
He said that this amount has been collected from student’s staff and the public also.
He further said that the college has taken the initiative to construct a community Hall of 100 people seating capacity in village ‘Hanu Goma’ of block Khalsi on Tur Tuk Pakistan border in Batallik sector of Leh, where 13 houses were washed away because of cloud burst and rain. He said that since they are the followers of the Swami Vivekananda who teaches to always be ready to come forward for the protection of the mankind and inspire to live for other and as per this reality they had come forward to do some thing for the betterment and rehabilitation of the victims of the natural calamity in Leh.
