| Anger over sacrilegious act at Chasana, 2 held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 11: Even as anger prevailed at Chasana in Mahore area of Reasi over the Thursday's sacrilegious act, police today laid hands on two of the accused.
A cow was Thursday found slaughtered in a house at Shergarhi, Chasana. The incident had sparked off strong resentment in the area with people holding demonstrations, demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
Today, acting on a tip-off, police arrested two of the accused from near Kunderdhan nullah at Shergarhi where they were hiding for the past two days, police sources said.
The accused were identified as Mohammad Yousaf and Mohammad Shabir, sons of Habibullah of Morha Lodwas, Shergarhi.
They were whisked away to the concerned police station and booked under section 298 A of RPC. |
