Sumo driver among two held with poppy straw

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sep 11: A Tata sumo driver and his associate were arrested by police at Sidhra on the city outskirts here late Friday night along with 26 kilograms of poppy straw.
Police sources said a police party intercepted a sumo (JK08A/4342) at Sidhra at about 11.30 pm on Friday and recovered 26 kg poppy straw during its checking.
Soon thereafter, the driver and his associate were taken into custody and removed to the concerned police post.
The accused were identified as driver Bhupinder Singh, son of Rajinder Singh of Dilbagh, Jullandhar, and Nrijesh Tiwari, son of Ram Simran Tiwari of Pakharpur, Uttar Pradesh.
They were booked under section 8/15 of NDPS Act.
