Separatists, stone-throwers provided with laptops, conducting anti-India operations from Kashmir jails?

EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 11: A number of stone-throwers and their mentors are behind the bars for days now. According to one estimate, nearly 1,000 stone-throwers and their masters have been put behind the bars in various Kashmir jails. They were arrested and imprisoned on the ground that they had been creating a serious law and order problem in the Valley and indulging in subversive activities to achieve their nefarious designs. The objective obviously was to remove them from the scene and lodge in various cells so that they did not communicate with others and carry on their anti-state activities or conduct anti-India operations. Yet another objective was, it appears, not to allow these unruly and motivated stone-throwers and their mentors to regroup themselves and instigate others against the Indian State and security forces.
This means the fundamental objective was to keep the unruly elements away so that they couldn't communicate with others. Such things do happen in the conflict zones. So, there is nothing new with what the authority did to some of the stone-throwers and their mentors in Kashmir, who had been playing havoc there. Money and communication network are the two vital things for making any movement a success. Hence, the authorities did a right thing to book these hooligans and subversives.
Have the authorities succeeded in achieving their objective? There appears nothing on the ground that could even remotely suggest that they have achieved their objective. The arrest and imprisonment of the stone-throwers and their masters has not helped the authorities in any manner. For, there are reasons to believe that those put behind the bars have been able to interact with similar elements and conduct anti-India operations through them. In other words, their arrest and imprisonment has in no way snapped their link with the outside world. They are, it seems, in constant touch with others operating in different parts of the Valley. Their communication network is intact, according to some insiders, and they are conducting their anti-national operations from various jails and police stations.
If certain insiders are to be believed, then it can be said that the behind-the-bars-stone-throwers and their mentors have with them laptops, which they are using for sending Emails to their supporters. They are availing themselves of such services as wireless broadband. TATA photons and similar other photons are easily available. Everyone knows. They also have, according to the same insiders, mobile phones. Everything is available to them and this is something dangerous that needs to be looked into.
It is obvious that there are certain elements or dubious characters in the police administration and jails who are hand-in-glove with the behind-the-bar-stone-throwers and other ring leaders and providing them all kinds of facilities they need to carry on their nefarious activities from the jails themselves. Otherwise, how could those arrested and imprisoned procure laptops, TATA Photons and mobile phones?
If what some insiders have revealed is correct, then it can be said that things are bad in the Kashmir-based jails and police stations or that the stone-throwers and other ring leaders have converted the jails into dens of anti-India activities. Director General of Police Kuldip Khoda and other top cops must act against those who have been helping the subversives. It is for them to ascertain the facts and take appropriate remedial measures. Such an action on their part is imperative. Jails are jails and you cannot allow things to happen there that are beyond the confines of what the jail manual provides for.
