| Woman, son commit suicide in Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Sept 11: A Bihari carpenter's wife and her minor son allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at their rented house at Chak Pratap Singh near Hatli in Kathua this evening.
Police sources identified them as Anita Sharma (35), wife of Ram Vilas Sharma, and Gurdev Sharma (15).
Anita allegedly swallowed poison at about 8.30 pm. She was admitted to the Kathua district hospital by her husband.
However, after her condition did not show any sign of improvement, she was referred by doctors to the GMC Hospital where she died soon after her admission.
After about half-an-hour, or so of her death, Gurdev was admitted to the Kathua hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, the sources added.
Though police had registered a case in this connection, cause behind the provocation was yet to be ascertained. |
