| ASCOMS CONDUCTED LIVE LAPAROSCOPIC WORKSHOP | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 26: A one day live interactive laparoscopic inguinal hernia workshop convened by Prof( Dr) R K Chrungoo was held in the Department of Surgery, ASCOMS & HOSPITAL JAMMU on 26th September 2010.This included various lectures on hernia and live transmission of operative sessions in which state of the art methods of laparoscopic hernia repair were demonstrated and discussed. Around 150 surgeons from different places from Jammu province attended and enjoyed this academic feast. The session was jointly sponsored by Ethicon division of Johnson and Johnson and management of ASCOMS & HOSPITAL. The invited faculty included Dr Parveen Bhatia from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Global Hospital New Delhi.The occasion was graced by Mr H L Maini (Honorable Trustee Administration) and presided by Prof (Dr) A Kumar ( Director Principal),Dr S R Anand ( Prof & HOD Surgery) and Dr K S Mehta (Prof of Surgery).The team of anaesthiologists headed by Dr Nandita Mehta (Prof & HOD) comprised of Dr D S Charak, Dr Kulbhushan Mahotra and Dr Kuldeep C Gupta.
