EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, SEPT 30: To carry out preventive maintenance of 132 KV and 33KV and reserve busbars, isolators and breakers, the shutdown of 2x50 MVA transformer at 132/33KV Canal is allowed on October 3 from 7 am to 11 am. During the shutdown, the area affected include Satwari, Chatha, Tope Sherkhania I & II, company Bagh, Medical and 132 KV D/C Miran Sahib transmission line. Meanwhile, to carry out the work of strengthening the jumpers/ droppers and replacement of wornout CT clamps, PG clamps, T clamps in 220 KV and 321 KV yard of the station besides plugging of leakage of oil of R-phase bushing of CT of 200 MVA transformer bank of the station, the 220/132/66, 320 MVA Grid Station, Hiranagar will be shut down on October 3,2010 from 7 a.m. to 12 noon. During the shutdown period, the power supply to Kathua, Hiranagar, Samba, Billawar, Mahanpur and Bari-Brahmana including Industrial areas shall remain affected. To carry out routine preventive maintenance of equipments in 33 KV yard of 220/132 KV Grid station Udhampur, the power supply to Udhampur, Army, Ramnagar and Chenani shall remain affected on October 1 from 6.30 am to 12.30 pm. According to Chief Engineer EM&RE Wing, Jammu, the shutdown shall be subject to fair weather conditions.
