| Kishtwar police register FIR against its Inspector | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Kishtwar Sept 29:- Kishtwar police registered an FIR against a police officer for indulging in fight with a CRPF man near Dak Banglow on Tuesday night. According to the reports, the police registered FIR No: 266 U/S 341/323 against Inspector Vijay Kumar Baghat at police station Kishtwar for infighting with CRPF Constable Tek Chand. Inspector Vijay Kumar Baghat also approached for registration of FIR against a drunken CRPF constable for displaying official weapon in public, but his request was not considered. Dejected, the police officer has sought judicial intervention for registration of FIR against CRPF constable. However, notwithstanding the court direction, the FIR has not been registered. Inspector Vijay told media persons that while he was on its way to home in his personal vehicle, one Tek Chand wearing a civil dress signaled my vehicle to stop, and who later turned out to be a CRPF constable. “After stopping my vehicle, Tek Chand who was drunk started abusing me. When I argued, he displayed his weapon with the intention of killing me. When I brought the matter to the knowledge of the local police, I was told to set things right at my own level. But Tek Chand went to the police station along with his colleagues and managed to register an FIR against me.” The police have been accused of delaying medical examination of the complainant.
