Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 22: Government Ayurvedic Hospital, Jammu organised plantation drive to mark 435th Vanmahaotsav in collaboration with Department of Ecology, Environment, Remote Sensing Jammu and Kashmir here today. According to press release, Dr OP Sharma Vidiyarthi IFS Director Department of Ecology, Environment, Remote sensing J&K while speaking on the occasion said that the Parijat Tree also known as Shapha in Sanskrit, Harshringar in Hindi, Night Flowering in English. This plant is ornamental, medicinal, Edible and sacred tree habitat of Shivaliks. He further added that this plant has great religious importance and connected with Bhagwan Shri Ram and Bhagwan Shri Krishan. He added that this plant was brought to land by Bhagwan Shri Krishan on the request of His wife from the heavens.
