Two of family killed another seriously injured in road mishap

Rajouri, Aug 22: Two persons of a family travelling on a motorcycle succumbed to fatal injuries when trio received critical injuries after their bike was hit by another vehicle this afternoon outskirts of Rajouri town in the border district.
"The deceased have been identified as Mohd Anwar s/o of Mohd Sharief and his brother-in-law Tuffail Hussain s/o Bagh Ali both resident of Khawas town in Khawas tehsil of Rajouri district, police said.
It said, "Mohd Asraf brother of Mohd Anwar who was riding the bike also received critical injuries and is under treatment at the District Hospital (DH) Rajouri.
Sharing details of accident, the Police said all the three resident of village Khawas were on way to district hospital on motor cycle bearing registration No.JK22-8562 for the medical checkup of Tuffail Hussain. "As the motorcycle reached near Grid Station at Thudi 3 kilometers ahead of District Hospital a rashly driven three wheeler bearing registration No.JK11A-3732 hit the motor cycle from the front resulting in the on spot death of Mohd Anwar while Tuffail Hussain also received head injuries and died on way to hospital, police said.
Locals immediately informed the police which rushed a team to the spot and evacuated injured to nearby hospital. Hamid Choudhry, Deputy SP,HQs along with SHO Rajouri present on the spot after completing legal formalities handed over bodies to their family members.
According to preliminary investigations Mohd Anwar and Tuffail Hussain were working as laborer at Katra of Reasi and had come to their village for few days. Today they left for Rajouri for medical checkup of Tuffail Hussain but they failed to reach to hospital.
Meanwhile the concerned police have registered a case against the three wheeler driver namely Akil Ahmed who later has been arrested by the police.
