| Girls of zone Hiranagar excel in Kho-Kho, boys in cricket | | | Kathua, Aug 22: Department of Youth Services and Sports organised inter zone district level tournament in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Cricket for under 19 boys and girls at Sports Stadium Kathua in which girls and boys of Hiranagar Zone excelled in Kho-Kho and Cricket.
According to press release, today matches of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball for girls were held at GHSS (Boys) Kathua whereas cricket matched organised at Sports Stadium Kathua.
As many as 150 students of different zones were participated in the said events. Zone Hiranagar registered its victory over Zone Billawar in final match of girls Kho-Kho by 10 points, thus Hiranagar emerged as Kho-Kho Champion. Earlier Zone Hiranagar trounced zone Kathua by 07 points.
In Kabaddi, Bani zone won the final Match by defeating Kathua by 16 points. Earlier, Zone Kathua trounced zone Billawar by 10 points.
In cricket matches, Hiranagar zone trounced Bani Zone by 64 runs and Billawar beaten Basholi by 4 wickets. |
