Forest sleuths foil bid to construct road through forest land 9/19/2016 11:05:28 PM Early Times Report Bhaderwah, Sept 19: Alert Forest official from Bhaderwah Division today foiled attempt of construction of road through forest in Guldanda Chattergala near Bhaderwah Bani road under jurisdiction of Bhaderwah -Neeru Range. According to reports, DFO Bhaderwah T B Singh received an input that GREF 114 RCC have started construction of a road near Guldanda Cahhtergala area. "Acting swiftly a team of Forest officials led by Forester Haroon Khan , Ajaz Ahmed and Shafer Iqbal was rushed to the spot which seized all machinery included JCBs, bulldozers and etc. However, GREF employees reportedly managed to flee but they had managed to damaged forest spread around 20 mts area. When contacted, DFO Mr Singh said that swift action of the department has foiled a major damage to the forests by GREF authorities.
