Pak resorts to relentless firing
Minor girl has narrow escape

Rajouri, Oct 21: A minor girl had a narrow escape in village Rajdhani in manjakot tehsil in Rajouri district when few shells fired by the Pakistan army landed near her house and damaged it partially.
Sources said that at the time of heavy shelling from across the border with 82 mm mortars, the adult members of the family were busy in the harvesting and the girl was all alone in the house of Mohd Shafi.
The house of Mohd Shafi suffered extensive loss in the mortar shelling. Pakistan army resorted to heavy firing and mortar shelling at about 12.30 pm which lasted till 3 pm and more than 50 mortar shells had landed in the Naika, Kaila,Lambibari hamlets under Manjakot tehsil.
Indian trooper has responded the firing/mortar shelling by the Pakistan army appropriately and befittingly and sources added Pakistan army has suffered a heavy loss of infrastructure in the retaliation.
For three consecutive days Pakistan army has been targeting army infrastructure / forward posts and civil areas in Tarkundi and Manjakot sectors.
Indian army reportedly have inflicted heavy loss to Pakistan army's infrastructure in retaliation to the Pakistan army's unprovoked and heavy mortar shelling and firing after sepoy Sudees Kumar of Rajputana Rifle had attained martyrdom at a forward post in Tarkundi area on October 16.
"Terror has gripped the entire area and people are worried about their safety, damage to houses and crops in the heavy shelling from across the border. The harvesting season is in full swing and the people can't leave their homes at this juncture" said Raiz Ahmed , panchyat member of village Panjgrain.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner , Rajouri Shabir Ahmed Bhat along with senior district officers and Harbans Lal , SDM Nowshera held a public grievance redressesal meetings in border villages namely Lam , Laroka, Jhangar, Pukhrani, Sair, Makri etc in Nowshera sector.
"People have demanded construction of Pucca Bunkers in their villages so that the frequent migration can be stopped in case of any emergency on the borders" said Sukdev Singh, resident of Lam.
Deputy Commissioner informed the people that proposal for the construction of Pucca Bunkers have already been sent to the government, said SDM and added for other issues directions have been issued to concerned district officers for early redressal.
