NC seeks to downplay ‘annoyed’ Mehdi’s meeting with Mirwaiz

Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 30: The ruling National Conference sought to downplay the much-publicized meeting between the party’s “annoyed” Lok Sabha member Aga Rahullah Mehdi and Mirwaiz Umer Farooq. The meeting that was held on Wednesday triggered fresh debate in the political circle as Mehdi has openly criticized his own party’s stand on existing reservation rules, statehood, and Article 370. Senior National Conference leader and chief spokesperson, Tanvir Sadiq, on Thursday, described the recent meeting between Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Member of Parliament Agha Rahullah Mehdi as a significant step toward unity in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the media, Sadiq said the meeting was held in a constructive and positive atmosphere, where crucial issues affecting the people of Jammu and Kashmir were discussed. Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 30: The ruling National Conference on Thursday announced that it has sacked the social media advisor to party Vice President Omar Abdullah for erroneously posting claiming credit for the hike in the honorarium of Special Police Officers (SPOs) in Jammu and Kashmir Police. 4 minor Rohingya girls go missing from shelter home

Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jan 30: Four minor Rohingya girls, who had been rescued from a human trafficking network six months ago, have gone missing from the Children-cum-Shelter Home in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district. Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 30: Security forces on Thursday launched a cordon and search operation following information about suspected movement of terrorists in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police officials said. The search operation was jointly launched by police and CRPF in Dorhu, Basti and adjoining forest area in Bhaderwah at 8.30 am.
